Al-hilal-star-and-Saudi-team-crowned-best-player-in-Asia

Al-Hilal and the Saudi national team, on Tuesday, were crowned Player of the Year in 2022 by the Asian Football Confederation.

The ceremony took place in the Qatari capital of Doha after the absence of years of his stay, during which Saudi Arabia overtook Qatari duo Mu ‘iz Ali and Australian Matthew Leakey.

Salem’s accolade came after a remarkable year, during which he succeeded in qualifying with the Saudi team for the 2022 Qatar World Cup, in which he won a historic victory against Argentina 2-1, including Al Dussari scoring a goal, while at the club level, Al Hilal was crowned the Saudi League, Super Cup, and reached the AFL final.

During his speech after receiving the award, Al-Dossari said: “Thank you for this achievement on behalf of Saudi Arabia. From this rostrum, I thank the Custodian of Al-Haramain and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman; The godfather of Vision 2030, for their support of sport, today I culminate in the support of sport in our country, nor can I forget the Ministry of Sport, the Football Federation, all the Al-hilal’s members, fans, the Saudi national team players and all the Saudi public, thank my father, mother, wife, children and daughters, thank you. ”

Al-Dawsari is Fifth Saudi player to be crowned with this award after Saeed al-Ayran (1994), Nawaf al-Tametta (2000), Hamad al-Manshri (2005) and Yasser al-Qahtani (2007).
