The Saudi Professional League continues to be an attractive destination for more stars to join its different clubs, both during the upcoming winter transfer window and the summer after.

The latest names nominated by many sources to join Saudi Arabia’s star battalion, Portuguese midfielder Bruno Fernandes of Manchester United.

ESPN Sports is already exploring a deal with the United captain at the end of the season.

Officials believe the move could take place in the summer of 2024 and hope to begin talks with my Portuguese international representative on the possibility of future negotiations.

Fernandes defended the colours of the Novara, Udinese and Sambdoria teams in Italy, as well as Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon with three titles, from which he moved for Man United in the winter of 2020 for 55 million euros plus 25 million euros in variables.

Fernandes has scored 67 goals and added 57 assists in 200 appearances since joining United. This season alone, despite United’s slumping form, he has scored 3 goals in 11 league games.

The 29-year-old midfielder received the captaincy under Eric Tin Hague, but in his second season the team struggled under the Dutch coach’s tutelage.

Fernandes leads a long list of goals set by Saudi officials, and if he leaves England, he can join a number of stars who have already moved to the Saudi Professional League, including his former teammate and compatriot Cristiano Ronaldo

According to Italian journalist Rudy Galiti, the Saudi Investment Fund has placed the Portuguese international on its list of priorities in the coming period, in a dramatic move after one week of criticism of the player.

The 29-year-old has scored 66 goals in 199 appearances since joining Manchester United in 2020 from Portugal’s Sporting, most recently against Fulham in the Premier League this weekend at 2 + 90 minutes.

Man Utd current manager Eric ten Hague was given the team’s captaincy to Bruno Fernandes after being withdrawn from England’s Harry Maguire, but a decline in the English club’s technical level could prompt the player to leave for the Saudi league, which attracted several stars, including Cristiano Ronaldo.

If the deal is completed with the transfer of the player to one of Saudi Arabia’s largest Roshen League clubs, Bruno Fernandes will strengthen the list of stars who moved in 2023 and open the door for more to join the next summer mercato
