Saudi al-hilal goal keeper Yassin Bono of Morocco was crowned Africa’s best goal keeper in 2023 during the ceremony held on Monday evening in Marrakech, Morocco.

Yassine Bono outscored Egyptian goalkeeper Mohamed al- Shinawi and Cameroon goal keeper Andrei Onana of Manchester United.

Yassin Bono abducted the spotlight at the 2022 World Cup hosted by Qatar, having played a major role in Morocco’s fourth place in the World Cup.

 Yassin Bono led his former team Sevilla to last season’s Europa League title at the expense of Rome.

Yassin Bono, 32, joined the Saudi al-hilal team early this season.

In remarks via the channel “SSC SPORT EXTRA 1”,  yassin Bono said: “Why am I absent from the party? I was focusing with the al-hilal Club and the match in front of the al-taawoun was important. “He added:” I don’t like attending these  type of parties, and I thank the players and the technical staff of Morocco and the Seville team and now the al-hilal team because they helped me to run for this award. “

On Monday evening,  goalkeeper Yassin Bono joined team Al-Hilal in triumphing over al-taaweoun team by 3-0, qualifying for the semi-final of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup. “King cup ” competition.
