News reports reveal surprise related to FC Barcelona offering the services of their player Robert Lewandowski.
The Saudi League has seen a major breakthrough in its signings, having attracted world stars over the past period, primarily Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo, Brazil’s Neymar da Silva and France’s Karim Benzema.
Lewandowski is not going through his best form with Barcelona, as is the rest of the team, which is suffering from significant decline in form during this season, under coach Xavi Hernández.
In view of Barcelona’s decline and the financial hardship it is experiencing, the club is considering selling Lewandowski over the coming summer, according to Spanish newspaper Sport.
Barcelona have recently spoken with a Saudi agent in a confidential manner about seeking an offer for Robert Lewandowski’s departure and the Catalan club is seeking a 30 million euro deal.
The sources said Barcelona could accept less and sell Lewandowski to a Saudi league club for 20 million euros, although the player is not considering leaving and is not experiencing any crises within the club, although his level has declined.
According to Catalan newspaper Sport, Parsa officials have repeatedly confirmed that Lewandowski will not be gone in the summer of 2024, which the player’s agent, Benny Zahavi, “swore at” but the reality seems different from what is announced in the media.
The Polish star’s decline appears to have exacerbated Catalan anger towards him, scoring only 9 goals in 21 matches in various competitions.
Barcelona currently sit fourth in the La Liga table, with 38 points, and a goal difference from third-placed Atletico Madrid.
