Al-hilal and al-itthad Egyptian Pharaoh Mohamed Salah, the English star of Liverpool, was sparked by an internal conflict between Saudi clubs for his services, press reports revealed on Sunday.
The Saudi al-itthad club has been aiming to obtain the services of Mohamed Salah from the Liverpool ranks since last summer’s transfer window, before failing.
The Saudi al-hilal also appeared in the photo to compete with al-itthad compatriot, before being contracted by Brazilian Neymar and content with it as a super deal like the rest of the investment fund’s clubs, and dismantling the room for the Tigers to negotiate with Mohamed Salah.
Sky Sport journalist Rudy Galletti explained that Al-Hilal was back competing in the Mohamed Salah deal.
The English journalist wrote on his “X” page: “Mohammed Salah the new club that joined the race – as revealed exclusively 4 days ago – is the Saudi al-hilal”
He continued: “As has been said, the first contacts have already taken place with his entourage, the al-itthad club is always planning also to try to include the player in the coming weeks.”
Salah is in the Egyptian team camp in Cairo, in preparation for the 2023 Africa Nations Cup in Côte d’Ivoire, where the player is seeking to be crowned his first international title.
Salah is linked with Liverpool on a contract that runs until June 2025.
