Roberto Manchini, head coach of Saudi Arabia’s top football team Nawaf al-Aqaidi, has removed Ayman Yahya and Abbas al-Hassan from the final list of the 2023 Asian Cup, currently organized in Qatar from January 12 to February 10.
According to the Saudi team’s account on the X Social Media Platform, Manchini decided to include the trio of Mohammed Al-Brik, Talal Haji and Mohammed Al-Yami, on his final list, while allowing Ryan Hamid to leave the Doha camp and rejoin the Saudi Under-23 camp.
Ayman Yahya’s chances of defending the colours of the green during the 2023 asian Cup in Qatar had been diminished by his ankle tendon injury, according to private sources,
which confirmed that Abbas Al-Hassan, a Saudi national team player, continued his treatment program to recover from the injury he had finally suffered.
The same sources indicated that the medical apparatus of the Saudi team made an effort to speed up the treatment of Yameen Yahya in order to benefit from it during the Green games in the Asian Cup.
But the condition needs more intensive treatment and a longer period of time
