Al-Ahli Club signed with England’s Ron Gurley to take over as CEO, without limiting the duration of the contract, the club announced via X on Monday.The Englishman is on duty with the Western Club early in February.

Gurley began his career at Ambro Sports Equipment and Clothing, and lasted for 15 years until he became head of sales and marketing, then went to English club Manchester United, assuming several leadership positions, most recently Commercial Manager, and in 2004 he joined Chelsea as Chief Operating Officer, and then rose to Chief Executive Officer of London in 2009.
During the first year of Gurley’s league and cup double, Chelsea won the Champions League title for the first time in their history during their presidency.
His relationship with the Blues ended in 2014, after which he served as a consultant to the owners of some English clubs, Woerding is the 2017/18 season.
His last position was the chief executive of West Brom and he resigned in the summer of 2023. He previously served as a member of the FIFA Marketing Committee. and the UEFA Club Committee, knowing that he accompanied the world’s best-known coaches such as Italy’s Carlo Ancelotti, Portuguese Jose Mourinho and Spain’s Rafa Benitz.
