al-nasr-is-ready-to-participate-in-the-asian-elite

al-nasr made the first steps to participate in the Asian Champions League for the elite, a few hours after the Grim al-hilal qualified for next season’s major tournament on the continent.
According to Saudi Sports on Wednesday, the Nasr administration met the conditions for the team to obtain the Asian licence.

Al-Nasr’s management terminated all financial obligations as of December 31, and the Saudi Professional League (SBA) handed over the documents to that effect.

The Asian licence is based on 5 different criteria (sports, infrastructure, administrative, legal, financial).

al-nasr is thus entitled to participate in the AFC Champions League for the elite, the competition to be held next season for the first time, once they have secured one of the top three places in the current league season.

The Asian Champions League for the Elite is held with 24 teams, 32 in the Asian Champions League “2”, and the Asian Challenge Cup, the third tier, will be held with 20 teams.

The top three finishers from the Saudi League qualify for the new Asian Champions League (Asian Elite Champions League), while the champion of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup climbs to the AFL 2.

al-hilal is guaranteed a top-three finish by the end of the season, even if it loses all eight of its upcoming games.

The leader leads the table with 74 points, with al-nasr coming second by 12 points.
