al-nasr captain Cristiano Ronaldo of Portugal faces a shocking penalty after being sent off against Al-Hilal in the semi-finals of the 2024 Saudi Super Cup.
Ronaldo was dismissed during his team’s 1-2 loss to Al-Hilal in the local Super semi-final, after deliberately hitting 86-minute “leader” defender Ali Belehi to receive the red card directly.
What is Cristiano Ronaldo’s punishment?
According to the Saudi Sports newspaper, the disciplinary committee of the Saudi Football Federation settled on a two-match suspension of Ronaldo and imposed a fine of SAR 20 thousand.
“This decision was made because of Ronaldo’s disgraceful behaviour, which does not rise to higher levels of sport,” the sports newspaper said.
This is the second punishment for “Don” in Saudi stadiums, where he was previously suspended for one match against the events of the Riyadh Derby in front of the youth in the 21st round of the Saudi League.
What matches will Ronaldo miss?
The punishment is a shock to al-nasr, as Ronaldo will miss the match against Al Fayha next Friday evening at 6:00 PM Mecca Time in the 28th round of the Saudi League.
He will also miss the victory match against the Gulf on Saturday night, 27 April 2024, in the 29th round, scheduled for 10:00 pm Mecca time.
