The al-Ahli team managed to beat Abha (5-1) on Saturday evening, in the 32nd round of the Saudi Professional Roshen League.
Al-Ahly’s goals were scored by Faras al-Barakan in the 8th minute, Ziad al-Jehani (45 + 1), Samihan al-Nabit (73), Riyadh Mahrez (85) and Frank Kissé (87).
Al-Ahli strengthened its position in third place with 61 points, 6 points ahead of the cooperation (fourth), and Al-Raqi sealed an Asian seat in the elite tournament
Abha remained 17th with 29 points, equal to the 16th groove.

Riyad Mahrez almost scored his team’s second goal in the 10th minute, after receiving a cross and a header, but the ball passed next to the right post.

The 20th minute saw a dangerous opportunity for Abha, after Hassan Ali took advantage of a blunder from Mendy, singled out the empty goal, but slotted the ball out of the net, in the strangest chances of the season.
Roger Ibanez missed a dangerous chance in the 32nd minute, after receiving a cross from Riyad Mahrez and Ibanez headed it from inside the box but passing next to the post.
