Saudi al-hilal Club is awaiting the return of its Brazilian star Neymar da Silva to participate in training.
Neymar suffered a cut to the knee cruciate ligament last October while partnering with his country, against Uruguay in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
According to the Saudi newspaper “Middle East”, the Crescent administration intends to register Neymar with the start of the season and not in the middle, which means the near departure of his compatriot Michael Delgado.
Neymar may be able to play 25 to 30 games next season with Al-Hilal, according to the newspaper.
Al-Shahrani said Neymar may not participate in the first month or the first 45 days of next season.
Earlier reports had stated that Al-Hilal was studying to register Delgado at the beginning of the season, before replacing his name on the list next January, with his compatriot Neymar after confirming his full recovery.
Neymar joined Al-Hilal last August from France’s Paris Saint-Germain in a huge deal, but was injured on October 17 during an international match for his country, depriving him of participation for most of the season with Al-Hilal, who is “imprinted on” a strong season, which saw a historic 34-game winning streak, capped by a league, cup and super treble.
