Gianni Infantino, the President of FIFA, and Mattias Grafström, the Secretary-General, received the hosting bids for the 2030 and 2034 World Cup editions Yesterday, Monday, as reported on FIFA’s official website.
Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, the Saudi Minister of Sports, Yasser Al-Misehal, President of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, and Hamad Al-Balawi, Head of the Saudi bid committee, submitted Saudi Arabia’s bid to host the 2034 World Cup.
FIFA President Infantino stated, “The submission of hosting bids marks a significant milestone in the bidding processes for the 2030 and 2034 World Cups as we aim to organize remarkable celebrations of football and humanity.”

He added, “The seven countries, representing four federations, have already contributed immensely to football. These nations possess a great passion for the game, exceptional organizational skills, and a shared vision of what football and its values should entail. Similarly, these bidding processes demonstrate that football unites the world.”
According to FIFA’s statement, the hosting bids and accompanying documents will be published on FIFA’s official website after the official submission deadline on July 31. The evaluation report is expected to be released in the fourth quarter of 2024.
It is noteworthy that Saudi Arabia’s bid received early endorsement on Monday from Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Prime Minister, after all details and requirements were completed, before the bid was submitted to FIFA in Paris, France.
