The management of Al-Hilal Club has commissioned the staff of foreign referees for the first team football games in the semi-finals and the Saudi Super Cup final, scheduled for its competition from 13 to 17 August in Abha.
On Sunday, the Saudi Football Federation issued a statement on the social media platform X, renewing the requirement to apply 14 days before the game in case foreign referees are wanted, indicating that the cost of four referees, amounting to SAR 175 thousand, while the five-referee crew is worth up to 219 thousand.
The FA statement further stated: “When the two clubs lift the request to bring in foreign referees for the same match, the request sent is accepted first, the fees are returned to the other club, and when foreign crews cannot arrive, due to compelling circumstances, Saudi referees are assigned with the refund.”
The applicant’s club may cancel it at least seven days before the date of the match, and the other club, if it has already submitted a full application for the same confrontation, is entitled to retain the right to continue its application.
Al-Hilal, the champion of the trilogy “Saudi Roshin League, Copa del Rey and Super Saudi Arabia”, opens the super clashes by meeting Ahli, the third league, on August 13, at the Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Sports City Stadium in Abha. The next day, Al-Nasr, the runner-up of the league and cup, faces cooperation, the fourth “Roshin” arrangement, on the same pitch, while the final takes place on the 17th of the same month.
A Saudi arbitration staff managed the last edition of the Saudi Super Cup, which took place in Abu Dhabi, UAE, where Mohammed Al-Hawish managed the semi-final clash between Al-Hilal and Al-Nasr. Faisal Al-Balawi led the other match between the Federation and Unity.
In the previous edition, the confrontations were moderated by a foreign arbitration team, with the Polish Simone Marciniak leading the crescent and Fayha confrontation, taking over the semi-final between Fédération and Dutch victory Danny McKelly, while Argentina’s Fernando Rabalini blew the final whistle.
Danny McKelly of the Netherlands seized the final of the 2021 competition, which brought together Crescent and Faisali, earning him blue on penalties of 4-3, following the end of the clash with 2-2.
