João Pedro Ramos Borges Sousa, born on August 4, 1971, in Luanda, Portuguese Angola, is a Portuguese football manager currently in charge of the Portuguese Primeira Liga club Famalicão.
João Pedro Sousa journey in football management began as an assistant, where he worked alongside Marco Silva, his former teammate at Trofense. He served as an assistant manager to Marco Silva at various clubs, including Estoril, Sporting, Olympiacos, Hull City, Watford, and Everton.
In 2019, João Pedro Sousa took on the role of head coach at Famalicão, signing a two-year deal. His tenure began on a positive note, earning him the Manager of the Month award for his early achievements. During his time at Famalicão, the team was in contention for European qualification but narrowly missed out. They also reached the semi-finals of the Taça de Portugal, marking a significant achievement for the club. However, Sousa was dismissed in January 2021, with Famalicão fighting against relegation.
