Serbia’s Aleksandar Mitrovic, the al-hilal striker, delivered a predictable shock to his Portuguese rival,al-nassr captain Cristiano Ronaldo, after he shook Abha’s net on Thursday night.

Al Hilal hosts his counterpart Abha at Prince Faisal bin Fahd Stadium “Al Malaz”, in the 18th round of the Saudi Professional League.

The Leader leads the competition standings table with 47 points, outscoring al-nassr by 10 points, the latter having a game in hand against the itthad of Jeddah.

Prior to the match, Ronaldo was top of the competition’s top scorer with 16 goals, outscoring Mitrovic by one goal.

The 25th minute of the match saw Mitrovic succeed in shaking Abha’s net via a very brilliant penalty.

With this goal, Mitrovic raised his tally to 16 goals, rising to the top of the Roshen League standings equally with Ronaldo.

According to the official account of “Dori Roshen” via the social media site “X” (formerly Twitter), Mitrovic achieved a historic figure in the competition.

Mitrovic scored for the ninth consecutive game in the Roshin League to equalize the longest scoring streak in the competition with Brazilian Victor Simos and Syrian Omar Al-Sumah, the former Jeddah community duo.

The former Fulham striker raised his tally this season with Al-Hilal to 24 goals in 26 games in all competitions, along with 4 assists.
