A star from Al-Ahli Egyptian Club entered the circle of interest of Saudi Professional League clubs aspiring to support their attack during the current summer transfer window.
Earlier reports had linked the Youth and South African Club Percy Tao Najem Al-Ahli Masri, but things had not evolved to make an official offer.
According to Kowori sources, “Tao received an oral presentation from the newly emerging Saudi Immortality Club of the Roshin League, in preparation for an official offer.”
Koura also learned that the South African international is also receiving interest from the Saudi Unity Club, which still resides in Al Ahli, to explore the possibility of making an offer to join him this summer.
Percy Tao’s 30-year contract with Al Ahly expires with the seal of the upcoming season, which may tempt the administration of the Red Fort to make financial use of it.
Since joining Ahli in August 2021, Tao has made 106 appearances for Ahli, scoring 25 goals and making 13.
During the current season, Tao made 30 appearances for Al-Hamr, during which he scored 7 goals, while he did not create a goal.
Earlier Egyptian press reports indicated that there was a common desire between Al-Ahli and Tao to terminate the association, given the poor relationship between the player and Swiss technical director Marcel Koller.
The South African International star wishes to participate regularly and not remain on the bench.
