After the renewal ceremony, Samer Al-Masahal, President of the Al-ettifaq Club, said: “We at the Club recognize the importance of stability, which we seek to establish through our desire to continue the journey with Steven Gerrard,
Believing that the fruits of success cannot be harvested without patience and dedication and Gerrard’s successes along with his leadership qualities and genuine commitment to the project showed that he is the right man for this stage,
Moving towards the future derives our strength from our long history and glorious sporting legacy And I think we are on track to get the deal back on the podium and we will work together a step to ensure that Gerrard has the time and resources to move forward on our journey to the summit where we wish. ”
Steven Gerrard also commented: “The decision to renew carried a lot of positive feelings for me and my family.
As a culmination of the hard work and genuine dedication shown by all from day one, We realized from the outset the magnitude of the responsibility and the challenges ahead, which led us to invest in the construction of new infrastructure such as new training facilities and the construction of a new stadium.
We have made remarkable progress in these projects, as a result of the mutual trust between me and the club management, as we look forward to the future and return to the podiums. ”
For his part, the English coach said: “When it comes to football, the priority is always for short-term goals, but the new president focuses on building a long-term sports project, and we have a great consensus at the perspective level. We all realize that success cannot be achieved overnight, but our high ambition cap will make us go away.
