Gerrard-requests-to-sign-3-players-in-Saudi-team

England’s Steven Gerrard, head coach of the first team of football club at al-ettifaq, is seeking to strengthen the ranks of the team with a foreign right wing, in the upcoming winter transfer window.

According to the sports newspaper,  steven Gerrard asked the al-ettifaq ‘s administration to provide his request, noting that it had collected several files of players at the center in preparation for the formal commencement of negotiations with them over the next few days.

English coach Steven Gerrard will deliver a technical report in days on Swedish international Robin Quayson, the player of the agreement, and the feasibility of continuing with or changing the team next January, at a time when sources are likely to leave.

Al-ettifaq suffers in its recent games in the Saudi Professional Roshen League, after a promising start.

The team won only one win during the last nine clashes, against the al-wehda in round 11, against 4 defeats and 4 draws.

Al-ettifaq club is eighth in the league with 24 points in 17 matches: 6 wins, 6 draws and 5 defeats.

The team, led by veteran coach Steven Gerrard, is scheduled to face his counterpart Al-Nassr team, runner-up of Saudi Roshen League, on Friday at Al-Awl Park, at 6 p.m. Kingdom time.
