England’s Steven Gerrard, the head coach of the First al-ettifaq football team, revealed his frustration after the draw against the major, citing his alarm at the many draws they have drawn in the Saudi Rosen League.
The al-ettifaq became the league’s most drawn team after being tied against leading hosts 2.2 in Saturday’s clash at the latter’s stadium in Breeda, in the 29th round.
The compact coach told the press conference: “Very disappointed with the outcome of the game and the draw, especially after we achieved the goal of progress in injury time.
Unfortunately, the same scenario was repeated with us in the folds and folks confrontation in which we conceded goals over the last minutes. ”
Gerrard added: “It’s my job to find solutions for the team in games, to make wins in order to get ahead of the rankings, but what happens is we draw in a lot of confrontations, and that’s frustrating, we seek to solve it, deal with it.”
On his style of play and the tactic followed during the games, the coach said: “I love possession, expanding on the field, and my team fiercely attacking their opponents.”
The Eastern team has made 29 appearances so far, winning 10, drawing 11 and losing 8 more.
In second place comes the league’s most drawn team, bottom, with 10 matches tied, and third team with nine matches tied for fourth.
The result of the negative draw was attended in 5 of the 11 meetings in which the al-ettifaq was tied, while the result of the positive draw was 1 in 4 games.
