The Saudi Arabian club Al-Fayha responded in a “funny” manner to media outlet Walid Al Faraj, who criticized the team’s performance at the beginning of its participation in the Asian Champions League competition this season 2024/2023.

Al-Fayha had suffered three defeats, including two against Al Ayn  of Al Emirati Club, in their first 4 games in the Asian Champions League, prompting Farage to criticize the team’s performance.

In an appearance on his show Action with Waleed via MBC, media outlet Walid Al-Faraj said: “Only the most quality team should participate externally to represent Saudi Arabia, with my respect and appreciation to Al-Fayha Club, which should only be the strongest.”

Despite stumbling in the first games, al-Fayha managed to reach the round of 16, after finishing second in Group I with 9 points.

After qualifying, Al-Fayha’s account on the platform “X” (previously Twitter) posted a satirical video, which included what Al-Farraj had said about the team’s performance earlier, commenting: “Asia is what speaks and addresses… Asia is really only the strongest in it.”

Al-Fayha Club suffered three defeats, including two against Al Ain  of Emirates Club, in its first 4 Asian Champions League games, prompting Al Farraj to criticize the team’s performance.
