Clasico Al-Hilal and the possible al-itthad await a dramatic paradox after drawing the last 16 draw from the Asian Champions League
The draw held on Thursday morning signed the al-hilal against Iran’s Spahan as the 16th, while the al-itthad meets its rival Navbakhur Uzbekistan in the same role
The first leg will be played on 12 and 13 February, with the second leg to be played on 19 and 20 February.
The draw set the stage for a direct confrontation between the two finalists, and if they qualify for the quarter-finals they will meet face-to-face in two back-and-forth matches.
The Saudi Professional League (SBA) has scheduled 7 March for the al-hilal and al-hilal match for the 22nd round of the domestic competition.
If the two teams qualify for the ACL quarter-finals, they will meet on 4 or 5 March back in Riyadh, and 11 or 12 of the same month back in Jeddah.
This means that the two teams will have 3 clashes within 8 days.
The eight winning clubs in the last 16 qualify for the quarter-finals, which take place on 4, 5, 11 and 12 March March (West), 5, 6, 12 and 13 March (East), with semifinals to take place on April 16 and 23 April (West), 17 and 24 April (East), with the anticipated two-match final to be held on 11 and 18 May 2024
