On Wednesday, Saudi Arabia’s Al-Hilal club announced the inclusion of Brazilian player Renan Lodi in the ranks of the team, coming from the French Olympique Marseille.
The al-hilal team account posted a video on the X platform (formerly Twitter), which uploaded the announcement of the inclusion of the 25-year-old full-back.

The video showed Lody wearing a Saudi club shirt, commenting: “Excited, eager, eager, destination for Saudi Arabia, towards the crescent.”
Renan Lodi has already represented Brazilian clubs Atletico Paranaince, Spanish Atletico Madrid and English club Nottingham Forest and has won a number of titles, including: La Liga and Cuba Sood Americana.
In the current season, the Brazilian made 23 appearances for Olympic club Marseille in various competitions, during which he produced one assist.
Lodi appeared in 19 caps for his country, specifically in the World Cup qualifiers, Cuba America and some friendly clashes.
Lodi’s first match with the team is scheduled during the Riyadh Season Cup, which includes both Al-Hilal, ,Al Nasr and Inter Miami, and Morocco in the coming days at the Kingdom Arena.
Renan Lody will wear the No. 6 shirt, as the welcoming video shows.
Hilal did not disclose the details of the contract, but several press reports indicated that the player would join on loan for 6 months.
According to reports, al-hilal Lodi is to be placed on its local list instead of his injured citizen Neymar da Silva.
