The Saudi Professional League (SBA) has announced that 8 clubs, including competition champions Al-Hilal, have obtained local and Asian licenses, while 10 others have failed to achieve the same goal.

The Committee stated in a statement through the official account of the Saudi Professional League at the X Social Media Platform that it decided to unanimously approve the granting of 8 clubsIn order to meet the compulsory standards “sports, administrative, legal and financial infrastructure”, as opposed to not granting 10 Saudi Professional League clubs with a licence  : Al-Hilal, Al-Nasr, Al-Ahli, Al-Shabaab, Al-Shabaab, Al-Shabaab, Al-Kabaab, and Al-Asiyyya.

According to the statement, the committee decided not to grant the licence to 10 clubs because they did not meet the criteria, stressing that these clubs have the right to appeal the decision no later than 20 May.
Clubs that did not meet the criteria prevented them from obtaining the licence are: Abha, Al Fayha, Al Raid, Al Tai, Gulf, Groove, Al Wahda, Al Fatah, Riyadh, and Al Hamad.

The Asian Football Federation had established an electronic system to manage clubs’ licenses through which any document or evidence submitted to the FA is submitted on time, The FA also organized visits to several clubs to present and explain the conditions of the Asian club’s licensing and the criteria to be met. Provide feedback and avoid shortcomings that will help clubs obtain licensing and provide the standards they require.
