The Portuguese coach Luis Castro, head coach of Saudi Arabia’s Al-Nasr Club, took a painful blow before the world’s next two matches against Al-Faiha and Al-Shabaab in the Asian Champions League and the Roshen League respectively, after the absence of the duo Sultan Al-Ghamam and Raghad Al-Najjar.
Al-Nasr goalkeeper Al-Najjar, next to the team’s right-back sheep, suffered various injuries during Saturday’s opening match, which was held at the First Park Stadium, drawing the 20th round and ending with the victory of the capital club (2-1).
According to the Saudi Sports Journal, the right-back, Sultan of Sheep, underwent thorough medical examinations, showing that he had a minor tear on the rear muscle, which would keep him from one to two weeks out of action, meaning that he was absent from the second leg against Al Fayha and Derby in front of young people.
Raghad al-Najjar’s guard was worse off, suffering from a ruptured fatty muscle, and would be sidelined from five to six weeks.
Who guards the goal of al-nasr in the face of Faiha?
With Al-Najjar confirmed to be away for more than a month, the world has only one available guard now, in the absence of David Ospina, and the suspension of Nawaf Al-Udaidi by the Saudi Football Federation, to remain veteran Walid Abdullah (37 years old), which means a crisis in the custody of the “World” lair, which has no substitute for its veteran veteran in the upcoming games.
Coach Luis Castro can use the Under-19 team’s keeper, Faisal Avendi, to be present as an additional option, along with Walid Abdullah, who is expected to be a primary participant in the next two games.
Al-Nasr has two important matches in his continental and domestic campaign this season, with the world meeting Al-Fayha in the second leg of the AFC Champions League round of 16 on Wednesday, 21 February at First Park.
Four days later, the world will guest young people at the Riyadh Derby, drawing the 21st round of the Saudi Roshen League, at the “Al-Shabaab” Stadium, and the clash will kick off at 8pm Mecca time.
Al-Nasr is ranked second in the Saudi League table, with 49 points, and 7 points behind leader Al-Hilal, who has not been beaten in any match so far in the league, winning 18 of 20 games.
