On Tuesday, Al-Nasr FC management is awaiting the response of the Saudi Football Federation’s Professional and Player Status Committee to the letter it sent in order to learn about the legality of the participation of Nawaf Al-Aqaidi, the first team soccer goalkeeper, in the Asian Champions League.
On Monday, the Professional Committee punished Nawaf al-Aqaidi, the protector of the yellow den, with a 5-month suspension, as well as fined him 300 thousand rials, against the backdrop of the crisis with Italy’s Robruto Manchini, the Green coach.
According to “sports” sources, the move by al-nasr officials was due to the lack of a clear provision for the enforcement of the penalty on Al-Aqaidi at all tournaments, according to the speech that arrived last Thursday.
According to the same sources, if the AFC feels the punishment of Al-Aqaidi, it will not be able to participate in the Fayha match on Wednesday, in the second leg of the Grand Continental Championship final, but if the Asian is not notified, it means that Al-Aqaidi can play for al–nasr in the tournament without any disciplinary sanctions and protests from the clubs that will face him.
The Committee’s statement reads: “The Committee provided all parties with the text of the resolution, while providing them with” reasons and reasons “no later than Thursday, 15 February.”
Al-Aqaidi did not take part in his team’s “go” game against Al-Fayha last Wednesday because the punishment letter did not arrive, and he also did not play for the opening in the Roshen League, considering that the penalty is applicable locally.
