Saudi Arabia’s Al-Nasr Club will win back its Colombian goalkeeper, David Ospina, during the youth match in the 21st round of the Saudi Roshen League on February 25.
According to Saudi Sports, Ospina’s condition has improved, following the injury he suffered over the past days, and is expected to reach full readiness during the second half of this month.
Al-Nasr Saudi Arabia’s keeper undergoes two hours of daily therapy sessions between the clinic and the health club after tearing his hind muscle at his team’s match against Inter Miami in the Riyadh Season Cup.
David Ospina’s numbers with the Saudi al-nasr Club
Ospina (35) moved to Saudi Arabia’s Al-Nasr Club via a free deal, during the summer transfer window 2022, after the end of his contract with Italy’s Napoli.
The Colombian international goalkeeper took part in last season’s 13 match with the Saudi Roshen League Championship, conceding 6 goals and keeping a clean sheet in 8 games.
Ospina suffered a severe injury in the al-nasr match against youth on 14 January 2023 in the 13th round of the Saudi League “Roshin League” for the 2022-23 season, where the meeting ended in a draw (0-0).
Ospina suffered a fractured elbow bone after converging with Argentine youth striker Christian Guanca while Guanca directed a header into the net at the 90th + 3rd minute, before the goal was ruled out for offside, and tears crashed from Ospina’s eyes after he fell, before exiting the match field in an ambulance, to cheers of support from the crowd.
Before the start of the current season, Ospina was excluded from Saudi Arabia’s Al-Nasr club, but “Alamy” was again restricted this winter after recovering, before suffering a new injury on his return in the friendly Inter Miami clash, which ended in favour of victory with a clean hexagon.
The list of al-nasr professionals currently consists of Ospina, as well as Brazilian duo Alex Telles and Anderson Taliska, Portuguese duo Cristiano Ronaldo and Atavio, as well as Croatian Marcelo Prozovic, Australian Aziz Bihic, along with Senegalese Sadio Mane and Spain i Emerick Laporte.
It is reported that Al-Nasr currently occupies second place in the du ranking table
