A study from the International Centre for Sports Studies (CIES) showed that the popularity of the Saudi al-nasr is the largest outside of Europe in terms of the number of followers in the main social media platforms, while rivals Al-Hilal were placed late.

The International Statistical Center released its most recent indicators on Wednesday, June 5, regarding the number of followers in the four major non-European platforms, Facebook, TikTok, Instagram and former Twitter.

The popularity of the biggest al-nasr outside Europe

The al-nasr team finished first with a total of 45 million followers in its four platforms, partly with the Brazilian team Flamingo. The Egyptian national champion was ranked third with 51 million followers, and fourth with 34 million followers.

And the fifth Inter Miami solution, which has grown in double figures after signing Argentina’s Lionel Messi last year by 35 million followers, the same number of followers as the Saudi crescent, which shares the number with the Miami city team.
Argentine soccer giants Boca Juniors and River Plate have 28 and 27 million followers respectively, then Indonesia’s Percep Bandung with 27 million followers, and in 10th place the Club America of Mexico has 25 million followers.

Ronaldo’s influence on the popularity of al-nasr

It is understood that the popularity of victory increased sharply after the signing of Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo in the winter of 2023, attracting a following of millions from around the world, specifically from Europe and Latin America, where follower numbers have doubled almost 40 times.
