Al-nassr-negotiates-Brazilian-player-Flamengo

Al-nassr officials turned the compass of summer signings into the Brazilian league, at the request of Portuguese coach Luis Castro.

Al-nassr has concluded only one deal in the current transfer season, through the inclusion of Croatian average field Marcelo Prozovic, forcing the team to complete new deals in the coming period.

According to Spanish newspaper AS, al-nassr is currently targeting two Brazilian league players, Flamengo “Uruguayan midfielder Giorgian de Arascaita” and Palmeiras defender “Paraguayan Gustavo Gomez”.

Arascaita is 29 years old and has been playing in Flamingo since 2019, where he has made 216 appearances in which he has scored 55 goals and won 11 titles with the team, the most important being Copa Libertadores in 2019, 2022.

The player is linked with Flamingo on a contract until December 2026, with a penalty clause for avoiding the contract amounting to $50 million.

According to the newspaper, Al-Nasr is ready to pay the value for the player’s services.

The player has been through difficult times this season, especially with Argentine coach Jorge Sampaoli coming to coach the team, but his performance has improved in recent times and has returned mainly in the team.

Arascaita has never played off the South American continent. He began his football campaign at Defensor Sporting in Uruguay before leaving Brazil from the gate of the Cruzeiro club and from him to Flamingo.

Gustavo Gómez, 30, has been defending Palmeiras’ colors since the summer of 2018, following an unsuccessful experience in Milan, Italy, and has now become one of Palmeiras’ most important pillars both on and off the field, contributing to the team’s 10 titles, perhaps the most important of which was a successive double at the Copa Libertadores in 2020 and 2021.

“S” journalist Juan Lopez described the inclusion of the pair Arascaita and Gomez in Prozovic’s neighbourhood as indicating that al-nassr coach Luis Castro is seeking to establish a distinctive “backbone” in the team, making him ready to compete in the Saudi championships next season.
