Al-Qadisiyah announced the appointment of Scotland’s James Bisgrove as CEO of Naif Al Sahib, according to the club’s official account on the X platform.
1 June, the Eastern team agreed with Bisgrove to take over as the club’s chief executive officer, after announcing his departure from the Rangers hallway in his country.
Bisgrove has extensive experience, working in many leadership positions in different fields, most recently as CEO and board member of Rangers Scottish Club. He also managed sponsorships in the Champions League and Europa League between 2016 and 2019, and has made many positive changes and developments.
John Bennett, the chief executive behind Bisgrove, commented in an official statement broadcast by Rangers, May 30: “I want to thank James for the work he has done at the club over the past five years as a commercial and marketing director, and finally as our chief executive.”
He added: “Our business revenue has grown considerably under James, while last year he was an integral part of the off-field restructuring carried out by the club.”
Al-Qadisiyah ‘s first soccer team has finally risen to the Roshin Saudi League after being crowned the First Division Club Yellow League with a 73-point ranking.
The ownership of the Qadisiyah Club was transferred to Aramco in its entirety after the completion of the implementation of the first phase of the project to invest and allocate to sports clubs, in order to achieve the objectives of “Saudi Vision 2030” in the sports sector, aimed at building an active sports sector by stimulating the private sector and enabling it to contribute to sports development, thus achieving the desired excellence of national teams, sports clubs and practitioners at all levels.
