On Sunday night, the management of the al-shabab team officially contracted Portuguese coach Vitor Pereira to oversee the team’s coaching until the end of the current sporting season.
The signing ceremony took place at the headquarters of the al-shabab camp in the UAE capital Abu Dhabi, in the presence of the Chairman of the Board of Directors Mohamed El-Minjem and the sporting director Dominique Tete
Vitor Pereira’s career saw several previous stations, overseeing the training of 11 clubs in various world patrols
Pereira’s most prominent stations are the training of Portuguese Porto, Greek Olympiacos, Turkish Fenerbahce, Chinese Shanghai, Corinthians and Brazilian Flamengo.
Pereira also led Ahly Jeddah team from July 2013 to May 2014, and the team appeared well under his leadership.
He led Pereira through 37 matches in all competitions, winning 19 matches, drawing 10 times and losing on 8 occasions.
Pereira was just around the corner from the title of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Cup, but lost the final to the al-shabab club by a triple without reply.
