Portuguese team coach Luis Castro expressed his high confidence in his team and their readiness to start the season strongly, especially in the light of their preparations for the Saudi Super Diriyah Cup match against their rivals.
Castro told the press conference dedicated to talking about the semi-finals of the tournament: “I feel very happy to return to Saudi Arabia and compete again.
We have made all the necessary preparations and I fully trust our players and look forward to winning. ” Commenting on the previous results, he added: “The negative results in the camp do not reflect the great effort and passion we have put in.”
The coach also addressed Taliska’s physical condition, saying: “Taliska returned from a long injury and has another injury from the camp, we will wait until the last minute to see if he can participate, upon the permission of the medical staff.”
He also referred to the team’s defensive goals, saying: “Defence is the mission of the entire team, and we hope to improve our defensive situation this season after conceding a large number of goals last season.”
For his part, Spanish al-nasr player Laporte spoke, emphasizing his positive aspirations for the new season: “Competition is difficult, but we represent a big club and our goal is to win and achieve wins with the talents we have.”
Laporte further emphasized the motivation he received after winning the Cup with his country, saying: “This gives me great motivation to work hard and achieve wins with the team this season.”
