On Tuesday, the Saudi Football Federation’s Professional and Player Status Committee sent an official letter to Saudi Professional League clubs, informing them of the conditions for registering players in the winter registration period, January.
the Committee sent a letter to clubs referring to the amendment to paragraphs 1 and 2 of clause VIII, concerning the certificate of financial competence and salary marches.
In its letter to the clubs of the Professional League and lower grades, the Professional Committee stated: “The clubs of the Premier Division and the First Division are obliged to submit a valid certificate proving the club’s financial efficiency, issued by the Financial Efficiency Committee of the Ministry of Sport, in order to be able to register in the next winter transfer window.”
“Pro League clubs must submit a valid financial competency certificate until 30 November 2023, while First Division clubs’ certificate is valid until 31 October 2023.”
The Professional Committee noted that “it has the right to amend or add to these requirements, with the circular including the dates and requirements of the two periods of registration, as well as the number of foreign professionals and birth players allowed to register for each grade”.
The winter transfer window begins in Saudi Arabia from 1 to 30 January 2024.
