Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne of Belgium sent a shock to Saudi clubs wishing to sign him.
“I will spend a quiet summer enjoying my holiday, and I will return to City next,” De Bruyne said in remarks, most notably Mercato expert Fabrizio Romano, on his Twitter account.
“I assume there will be talks on renewal with City in the coming months.”
De Bruyne is linked with Manchester City on a contract until the summer of 2025, so he can sign for free with any team, beginning in January.
“When I’m this age, I have to open up about everything like moving to the Saudi League,” the player said in earlier remarks.
“You’re talking about huge sums in the last phase of my football career, and you have to think about that.”
De Bruyne’s talk of talks with City over his future in months may be a clear indication that his closest desire to check is to stay with City this summer, despite the big offers awaiting him from clubs in the Saudi League.
Since the summer of 2015, De Bruyne (33 years old) has played 382 times for Manchester City in all competitions.
During these matches, De Bruyne scored 102 goals and made 170 in all competitions.
At the title level, DeBruyne achieved 15 local titles, both continental and international.
