On Wednesday, the Saudi Football Federation discipline and ethics committee issued a decision to punish Al-Hilal and his defender Ali Al-Balehi after the events of the final of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup.
The “Leader” was crowned the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques trophy for the 11th time in its history, after winning victory on penalties, in the confrontation between them at Jeddah’s Radioactive Jewel Stadium.
Belehi ended his season inappropriately, having been directly expelled in the Copa del Rey final, after interfering with Sami al-Najdi without a ball, to show the referee in the face of the red card.
The Discipline and Ethics Committee decided to suspend Ali al-Balehi for two matches, fined 20 thousand riyals, for obtaining a red card in the Copa del Rey final, due to the outrageous behaviour according to the match referee’s report.
The committee also punished Al-Hilal Club by fining it financially 10 thousands of riyals for obtaining 7 warnings and two expulsions during the Copa del Rey final.
A disciplinary decision deprives Ali Balehi, defender of the First Crescent Football Team, of playing the first two games of the “Blue” next season.
The decision, which is not subject to appeal, applies to all official matches to which the player is entitled.
The Saudi Super Cup, which brings together four teams and is played from 13 to 17 August.
