Brazilian winger Michael Delgado has agreed with Al Hilal Football Club’s management to terminate his contract after the Saudi Super Cup, scheduled for next month, according to exclusive sources reported by a famous website.
As per the terms of the agreement, the club will allow Michael Delgado to leave in exchange for a financial sum to be paid by the player, breaking his contract roughly five months before its official end. Delgado’s contract with Al Hilal, signed in the winter of 2022, is set to expire in January next year.
Once the agreement is activated, Delgado will become a free agent, allowing him to join any other club without paying any fees to Al Hilal. Sources indicate he is close to returning to a league in his home country.
The Saudi Super Cup will kick off on August 13th, with a semifinal match between Al Hilal and Al Ahli. The winner will face the victor of the other semifinal between Al Nassr and Al-Taawoun on August 17th. This means that Delgado’s last appearance for Al Hilal will be either on August 13th or 17th.
Al Hilal’s management is awaiting Delgado’s departure to register Neymar Junior, another Brazilian player, for the upcoming season. Neymar was excluded from the team’s roster in the second half of the last season following a severe injury he sustained while playing for Brazil in September 2023. Neymar is close to completing his rehabilitation and is expected to be fully fit by August.
