Mugharbil Sunday, the Board of Directors of the Saudi Professional League announced the appointment of Omar Mugharbil as the association’s chief executive officer.
The President and members of the Governing Council thanked Saad for his great efforts throughout his previous term as Executive Chairman.
Mugharbil holds extensive practical experience in public administration, marketing and business affairs in major companies, which will contribute to the Association’s development in the next phase.
The employer has been a CEO at IKEA in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain since August.
Last August, he also held several positions at Ghassan Ahmed Suleiman Furniture Trading Company. (IKEA Saudi Arabia), and served as Director of Marketing at United Electronics Between 2014 and 2016, he was present in several positions at Unilever,
including the Director of Luxury Food and Tea Marketing between 2010 and 2011, the Director of the Lipton Brand in Saudi Arabia between 2009 and 2010, and the Assistant Director of the Knor Safore Brand in the GCC between 2005 and 2006.
He received a bachelor’s degree in marketing in 2005 from the American University of Dubai and received the Business CEO Program at the University of California Berkeley, USA.
It is worth mentioning that Saad Al Tasih will continue his duties as Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Professional League, as well as supervising the program to attract players to the Saudi Professional League.
