Polarization-Committee-Surprises-Saudi

The Saudi League’s polarization committee decided not to fund strong deals for the four big clubs, Al-Hilal, Al-Nasr, al-itthad and Al-Ahly, during the ongoing winter mercato.

According to press reports, “If the four clubs want to conclude domestic or foreign deals from their budgets, they must obtain the approval of the polarization committee first.”

The polarization committee financed fiery deals for top clubs in the Saudi League during the last summer transfer window, most notably Portuguese star Team Saudi al-nassr Cristiano Ronaldo, French captain Karim Benzema, Senegalese Sadio Mane and many of the world’s top players in the five major leagues.

The Saudi Professional League (SBA) is now suspended until the upcoming Fibray, due to Saudi Arabia’s participation in the 2023 Asian Cup finals in Qatar.

At another level, the Saudi League has set a requirement that clubs in the Roshen League can register new players in the team roster during the current winter Mercato, which is to obtain a financial efficiency certificate, which enables the club to register new players, both domestic and foreign.

The certificate is issued on the basis of certain conditions, most notably the payment of salaries to all players, coaches and employees until the end of December, in addition to the absence of external cases on the club in FIFA.
