Rakitic  winter transfer market in Saudi Arabia, which ran from 1 January 2024 to 30 of the same month, has ended, and the pace of signings has intensified in the final hours of the “Mercato”.

8 clubs had made a number of deals, while the other 10 clubs had only their players, who had been attracted at the start of the 2024/2023 season.

The al-shabab club announced that it had signed Ivan Rakitic of Croatia for one and a half years, coming from Sevilla, Spain. He also revealed that the Brazilian Vetinho had been included on loan from the al-ettifaq club, Mesab Al-Juwair of Al-Hilal and Mustafa Angels of Al Fatah.

Al-Nasr has strengthened its ranks with Australian player Aziz Bihic, coming from Australian club Melbourne City, on loan until the end of the current season, as well as re-scoring Colombian goalkeeper David Ospina in the club’s reveals.

The  al-itthad of Jeddah Club supported its positions with Fawaz al-Saqr, Hamid al-Ghamdi, Ahmed al-Ghamdi, Mohammed al-Mahassan and Sa ‘ad al-Musa, while Al-Hilal had only served Brazilian Renan Lodi earlier, along with enrolling goalkeeper Mohamed al-Rabi in the team’s reveals.

The other contracts were as follows:

Al-ettifaq Club: Ivorian Seko Fofana, Spanish Alvaro Medran, Cameroon Carl Toko Ikambi, Khaled El Ghannam, Abdoulaye Maddow, Harun Kamara, Abdelrahman Al Aboud.

Al-taawoun Club: Ibrahim El-Shayel, Argentine Christian Guanca, Mohamed Mahzari, Salih Abu Al-Shammat, Mohamed Bakr, Mohamed Al-Quaikbi

Abha Club: Congolese Marcel Tesserand, Ibrahim Zubaidi.

Al-khaleej Club: Nayef Masood.
