According to media reports, Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr is targeting the signing of Brazilian international Raphinha, a forward from Barcelona, for a staggering sum of up to €100 million to strengthen their attacking lineup for the upcoming 2024/2025 season.
The well-known Spanish website reported that Al Nassr, which boasts stars like Cristiano Ronaldo, Aymeric Laporte, and Sadio Mané, is prepared to spend around €100 million to acquire Raphinha.
The website explained that Raphinha’s current contract with Barcelona runs until June 2027, and his transfer from Leeds United to the Catalan club cost €58 million, plus additional variable amounts.
The website noted that Barcelona’s Brazilian forward Raphinha is one of the most sought-after players in the current market. However, the player intends to continue wearing the Blaugrana jersey and will join the first team for their pre-season tour in the United States.
According to another Spanish source, Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona has received an offer from a Saudi club worth €65 million for the Brazilian winger Raphinha (27 years old) in the current summer transfer window.
It stated that the deal’s value might prompt the Spanish club to seriously consider selling the forward, who has not performed exceptionally well during his time under the previous coach, Xavi Hernandez.
Spanish media have previously indicated that Raphinha is close to leaving Barcelona this summer, provided a good offer comes in for the Catalan club. This move could happen in the coming weeks, although the transfer might be delayed if Barcelona fails to secure the signing of Spanish winger Nico Williams.
