Abdelghani then compared Algerian star Mahrez to fellow Ivorian national club Frank Casey, stating: “Frank Casey, for example, has played at the high level and carried the shirts of big clubs, it is true that he has not been at his best during the games, but he plays with commitment and offers everything he has with the team, he tries to be always on the field, and the elderly is bigger than any player.”
Riyad Mahrez participated in 29 confrontations in all competitions with Al Ahly during the current season 2023-2024, scored 10 goals, and also provided 12 assists for his teammates.
