A muscular injury, suffered by Cristiano Ronaldo, led to the postponement of the yellow Test matches against Shanghai Shenhua and Xijiang, during his preparatory tour of China, to a later time, as revealed to “sports” private sources.
The capital club announced in a statement, broadcast through its official account on the X social media platform, that the games were postponed “for reasons beyond the control of al-nassr“,

without revealing further details, but that the “sports” sources explained that the postponement was due to the Portuguese football legend’s inability to participate in these encounters for suffering from a muscular injury.
According to the same sources, Ronaldo’s participation in both matches was one of the most prominent terms of the ap-nassr contract during his preparatory tour of China. Sources were likely to return to China next summer, especially as he has two big offers there, as well as another offer to visit Japan.
In his statement, Al-Nasr said: “We are saddened to announce that unfortunately, for reasons beyond al-nassr’s control, the two-match event scheduled for January 24 and 28 has been postponed to a later date.”
The statement added: “We came here in Shenzhen with a lot of respect for Chinese football fans, specifically for the supporters of Al-Nasr Club and its captain Cristiano Ronaldo,
taking this into account, as well as the close relationship between Saudi Arabia and China. We are at al-nassrready to complete our training camp as planned in Shenzhen, a city that has warmly welcomed us, and has shown so much love for us and our leader. ”
He continued: “Furthermore, we have agreed with the organizers to schedule a new match as soon as possible in China.”
He concluded: “Al-Nassr has always demonstrated his unconditional commitment to this tournament, travelled with his full team, including Cristiano Ronaldo, to participate in this tour, and we emphasize our appreciation and great love to our fans in China, and look forward to playing before them as soon as possible.”
“Sports” revealed on Tuesday, citing private sources, that the management of Al-Nasr had to cancel the press conference, which was to be held at noon, for Portuguese coach Luis Castro,
his compatriot Cristiano Ronaldo, and Croatian MarceloProzović and Brazilian team players Anderson Taliska, in the Chinese city of Shenzhen, because a large crowd lined up in front of the gates of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, the residence of the Capital Yellow Mission.
At the preparatory level, Portuguese trainer Luis Castro has only had fitness exercises in the hotel’s gym for the same reason.
The Nasrawi team’s camp in China runs until January 29 and is part of its preparatory programme during the interrupted competition due to the participation of the Saudi team in the 2023 Asian Cup finals in Qatar.
Yellow Assimi returns to the atmosphere of official matches after the end of the hiatus, 14 February, where it faces Al Fayha at Prince Faisal bin Fahad Sports City Stadium in Riyadh, in the first leg of the last 16 of the Asian Champions League.
