Al-Nassr star Cristiano Ronaldo welcomes stars to Saudi League
Ronaldo ended 2023 by scoring 54 goals as the top scorer of the year thanks to his goal against al-taawoun in the 20th round of the competition
The Portuguese goalscorer said on Saudi Arabia’s SSC Sport: “It was a happy year for me both individually and collectively.”
“I have scored many goals as well as with the national team, proud and I will continue and happy, and I will try to repeat the same next year.”
“I’m glad I started coming to Saudi Arabia and nobody believed what I was saying, and most importantly the league is growing.”
“The players want to come because they know the tournament is competitive and the whole world is watching the Saudi league.”
“Happy and I want to continue, and if the stars want to join the Saudi League we will welcome them.”
Al-nassr rose to 46 points in second place, 7 points behind the leaders al-hilal, and 6 points from the ahli Jeddah 3rd .
The al-taawoun balance was frozen at 34 points in fourth place.
Ronaldo raised his tally to 54 goals as the world’s highest-scoring player in 2023.
The Saudi league stops until the end of the Asian Nations Cup, with a resumption in mid-February.
Ronaldo is top of Saudi Arabia’s top scorer with 20 goals, 3 ahead of al-hilal striker Aleksandar Mitrovic.
