The Saudi player and Al-Hilal club star Salem Al-Dosari are entering a three-way competition to win the title of best player in the Asian continent in the 2022-2023 season.
According to the AFC, the evaluation of the award will be for the period from January 2022 until May 2023, where play at the club and national team levels in local and continental tournaments will be evaluated.
This evening, Doha will host an awards ceremony, which will be attended by many media figures, athletes and football stars.
The final nominations were limited to only three players: Saudi Salem Al-Dosari, Qatari Al-Moez Ali, and Australian Matthew Leckie.
Salem Al-Dossari led his country to victory over the Argentine national team in the 2022 World Cup. He also played a prominent role in Al-Hilal Club’s victory in the Saudi League title for the 2021/2022 season and the King’s Cup. He also provided a distinguished performance in the AFC Champions League and Club World Cup competitions.
Qatari player Al-Moez Ali, for his part, became the historic top scorer for the Qatar national team with 42 goals during the last period, and led his Al-Duhail team to win the Qatar Stars League title and achieve positive results in the AFC Champions League competition.
While Australian Matthew Leckie succeeded in scoring goals for the “Australian National Team” shirt in the 2022 World Cup, and emerged strongly with his club, Melbourne City, in the Australian League.
Salem Muhammad Shafi Al-Dosari (born August 19, 1991) is a Saudi professional footballer who plays as a winger for Al-Hilal Saudi Club and the Saudi national team and excelled in the recent World Cup tournament in Qatar 2022.
