saudi-federation-responds-to-rumors-of-corruption-and-suspension-of-saudi-rulers

The Saudi Football Federation has responded vigorously to serious accusations of corruption, confirming legal action against rumor-mongers.
Over the past few hours, it has spread through the X social media platform, a video in which Mohammed Al-Marishid, a former Sunni coach at Al-Nasr Club, makes accusations against Saudi Federation officials.

Al-Marishid claimed that there were officials combining work with the Saudi Football Federation and a club.
“These officials are very inclined to the club where they work, and therefore change the results, choose the elements of the teams according to their whims, and destroy Saudi sport because of their love for this club,” said Al-Marishid.

In an official statement on Monday, the  Federation said: “The Legal Department clarifies its monitoring of a video circulating, which includes false accusations of the Saudi Football Federation’s employees.”

“The Legal Department confirms that all actions have been taken and refers the violation to the competent authorities for necessary action.”

The Saudi Football Federation responded to reports about the suspension of two referees due to impactful errors in Saudi Professional League matches.
The sports newspaper noted earlier Monday that the Federation’s referees committee decided to suspend the two rulers, Sultan al-Harbi, and Khalid al-Taris, from running the 28th round of the competition, after the al-shabab complaint.

However, the  Federation stated in an official statement that “there is no truth to what is being discussed about the suspension of international rulers Khaled Al-Taris and Sultan Al-Warba in the 28th round of the Roshin Saudi Professional League.”
