The Saudi Football Federation has announced the date of the two semi-finals of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup for the current season 2023-2024, in which four clubs participate; They are: al-hilal,al- Nasr, al-khaleej, al-itthad.
The draw for the golden square of the competition, which was withdrawn on March 13, resulted in an early final high-calibre clash between the al-itthad and its counterpart Al-Hilal, at Jeddah’s King Abdullah Sports City Stadium, while Al-Nasr will face the al-khaleej in the second match at Al-Awl Park Stadium in Riyadh.
The two confrontations are scheduled for late April and early May at 9 p.m. The first anticipated Clasico match between the al-itthad and its guest Al-Hilal will be held on Tuesday, April 30, at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah.
Al-Nasr will meet at the First Park Stadium in Riyadh on May 1.
The 2023-2024 edition of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup bears the number “50” in the history of the competition, which was launched in 1957 as the “King’s Cup”, and continued in that name until 1990, before being merged with the Saudi League Championship, until it reappears as an independent tournament and reappears in 2008.
It is reported that the champion of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup receives a prize of 10 million riyals, in addition to a direct seat in the Saudi Super Cup and a direct seat in the Asian Champions League 2.
