The Saudi Football Federation and the Saudi Professional League (SBA) officially announced on Friday that the number of players on the rosters of the first team of Saudi professional Roshen League clubs will be revised from next season 2024-2025.

The new resolution provides for clubs to be allowed  them to register 10 non-Saudi players out of 25, with 8 players participating in each match.

The Saudi’s Football Federation published an official statement on its account on the “X” platform  “twitter’ explaining the special requirements, mainly for the registration of 8 non-Saudii players without setting a minimum date of birth, while two non-Saudii players from 2003 and above are registered, with a view to enhancing the investment aspect of the talents of the clubs.

The Football Federation stated that this decision came after coordinating with the strategy of supporting clubs and managing Saudi teams and the technical director of the FA, as well as holding workshops with clubs.

The SA Federation  has held a workshop last month with the managers of the Roshen League to discuss the increase in the number of professionals, which enhances the league’s format and competition for the top five leagues.
