The curtain was brought down on the Rushin Saudi League for the 2023-2024 season with Al-Hilal crowning the title, after a historic season for the leader, during which he did not lose a game.
Football fans around the world are awaiting the next summer transfer window in the Saudi League, which attracted the best players in the world last season, such as Neymar, Karim Benzema, Sadio Mane and Riyadh Mahrez.
The conflict between clubs over major deals from foreigners, most notably Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo, who joined al-nasr in the season before last, is likely to flare up.
The summer mercato season is scheduled to begin on July 18 and end on September 2
A list of 227 players has been submitted to the clubs by the Saudi Roshen League’s Players Attraction Committee during the summer transfer window.
According to the Middle East newspaper, the committee sent an 11-page document to the league clubs containing the names of the players, with the aim of facilitating their transition, where they have already been contacted or their agents, not intermediaries.
The paper explained that the committee had notified clubs that negotiating with players on the list was not mandatory, but would be more easy. She said clubs could offer other names to study from the financial and technical side before obtaining approval.
The roster included goalkeeper Hugo Lloris and Joe Hart, right-back Hector Bellerin and Meteland Neals, centre-back Mats Hummels, Nacho and Eric Bailly, and left-back Levin Kurzawa and Patrick van Aanholt.
