The new season of the Saudi Professional League will begin on August 22.
The Competition Committee of the Saudi Federation revealed that a round of each league will be devoted to the major derby confrontations in order to enrich the competition.
The Saudi League announced the creation of the “Derbies Week”, with three matches in the ninth round, where Al-Hilal meets his counterpart Al-Nasr, and the Federation faces his private counterpart, while the agreement meets his counterpart Qadisiyah, with the meeting to be renewed in the second round in the 26th round.
The league revealed nine criteria for the preparation of the Saudi Professional League match schedule: first, the second round tour sequence is a complete reflection of the first round round series. Secondly, no team has played more than two consecutive rounds as a host team or two consecutive rounds as a guest team in one round.
