The saudi channel “SSC” and the “Witness” platform transmits to all viewers in the Middle East and North Africa the Saudi Super Diriyah Cup, to be held in the UAE capital Abu Dhabi on April 7 and 11 with the participation of 4 Saudi teams: Al Hilal, Nasr, al-itthad and al-wehda.
SSC channels prepared for the event by launching special studios for each match in the presence of a selection of the most distinguished commentators, analysts and presenters across the Arab world, as well as a number of channel reporters who will attend the coaches’ press conferences. Bra 18 will also devote its seminars to this tournament.
The First al-hilal Football Team and its counterpart Al-Nasr arrived in Abu Dhabi on Sunday morning in preparation for the Saudi Super Cup.
The UAE will be hosting the tournament from 8 to 11 April and will play its matches at the Hazza bin Zayed and Mohammed bin Zayed stadiums.
The new edition of the Saudi Super Cup maintains the rule of recourse to penalties directly if the original match time ends in a draw.
According to article X, section V, of the tournament’s regulations, the match is not extended to two additional times after the end of the original halves, but goes on to be weighted immediately.
In the article, entitled “Competition system”, clause V states that “In the event that the teams draw in the original halves of the match, the penalty rule shall be applied from the penalty mark, in accordance with the instructions of the International Federation, to determine the winning team”.
When the tournament was created in 2013, its system had to play two more times in the event of a draw.
