Injury strikes Saudi team star and prevents him from participating in the valleys
Ali al-Balehi, the defender of Saudi football’s top team, al-hilal withdrew from group training for the “Green Falcons” on Wednesday in Qatar, according to press reports.
Balehi suffered an injury due to friction during a joint game with Abbas Al Hassan, the midfielder, which prompted the coaching staff, led by Italian coach Roberto Mancini, to withdraw the centre-back to maintain him.
The reports described the injury as “simple”, reducing its negative impact on the player, called for the upcoming Asian Cup, which kicks off on January 12.
Last Sunday, the election launched its final preparatory camp before continental entitlement, and its Lebanese counterpart faces off Thursday in an experimental meeting.
It brings together two more test matches for the elected members of Palestine and Hong Kong, on 9 and 10 January, while heading to Doha on 11 January.
The saudi national team, whose camp is held by Celine Resort south of Doha, face the teams of Kyrgyzstan, Oman and Thailand for the sixth group of the tournament.
According to “sports” sources, during the coming hours, the Balehi Medical Service will undergo examinations to determine the possibility of its involvement with Lebanon.
